✨️I have a 10 year old... 10. What in the world, and how did we get here so quickly??? This boy teaches me every day to live to the fullest!! Happy Birthday, peanut! I love you!!🩵🎂🎉🥳😘

10 things he currently loves:

1. Enjoying every little bit of time we get to spend together as a family!

2. Building anything from anything (his creativity is unparalleled!)

3. Dancing to his own tune, especially making himself look like those floating, stick-figure-waving-balloon thingies at car dealerships. IYKYK!

4. Laughing until you cry and fall off your seat, and then laughing some more!

5. Watching an exaggerated amount of @jordan_the_stallion8 's reels until we are both throwing glasses on the counter laughing (but I can't watch the spider ones b/c no.)

6. Also, watching lots of @amauryguichon 's reels and saying, "bro, howww!?" the whole time.

7. When I explain passages from the Bible that he is curious about and understands them (this one has my heart!)

8. Love attack hugs at bedtime to every member of the family so everyone goes to bed with a heart full of joy and laughter.

9. Making all sorts of creative desserts involving Nutella (he found my real Nutella stash... someone send me more!)

10. Any activity that involves leaving the house like riding his bike, going swimming, going to visit family, traveling, or just going to the post office with maman (me), haha!

I LOVE THIS BOY! I am spoiled!!

✨️A little glimpse at Memories of Summer Break 🏕🔥🥰

✨️COMMUNITY 🫂 Building friendships from the ground up in your late 30s when this one started, can be scary. It's not something that just happens, and for me, especially, it was really hard to do online... with strangers on the internet.

Somehow, a nice comment to @emilyharveyart one day on her post, then on a video on YouTube, led to a conversation, which led to joining her Patreon, which led to this incredible community she built of creative people, and lovers thereof (because not every EHART is a small biz!).

I don't really have a way to explain how it felt to have been the person curled up on my couch in despair with post-partum depression, watching her videos and those of other artists, feeling encouraged to try to make something that would lift my mood, to several years later sitting in her chair, in her studio, at her house. And not just that, but having a massive number of people, I call friends who all had a part in helping me build and grow my business and create something I never dreamed I could do!

Don't be alone. If you are, don't stay alone. Find people. Take a small step. Start a conversation. It doesn't have to be like this story, but it can be yours, and it can be just as warming and beautiful if you give it a try!

Thank you Emily for being such a good friend, and for giving me friends for life! 🩵💜

✨️🗽The final piece of the Kickstarter puzzle is ready to print and cut and add to everyone's package.

I can't say this has been easy... Working intermittently is so hard on my confidence. My self-esteem is taking a beating, and my resolve feels like it's hanging on by a thread. I imagined it would go more smoothly; that I'd sit and work every evening after my day job, but I was not prepared for the mental strain.

I'm taking everything A LOT slower despite wanting to work on it all right away. I have to accept that I need the rest, I need the breaks, I need the time to have living room dance parties with my kids. I am almost at the finish line and will stop making myself sick with worry and stress about everything taking too much time.

Thank you for being amazing and giving me grace while I figure this all out!
